Process & Pricing

Fill out our "Contact" section, email or call us about the project you have in mind.  Providing as much detail as you currently know about what you want is helpful.  We usually are able to respond by email or phone by the end of the day (weekdays), to arrange a call or a free on-site consultation within Kamloops (surrounding areas we only charge our distance fee). 

After meeting with you to discuss details, Marvin will provide a ball park estimate based on the type of work.  A larger renovation project or built-in may be impossible to estimate accurately but he will provide a rough timeline and estimate of labour and materials and then keep you updated along the way.  A fixed price quote for custom furniture can usually be provided depending on the complexity and uniqueness of the piece. 

If the estimate is within your budget and you approve the estimate, we set a date to begin.  If it's a longer project involving a significant cost for materials, we will request a deposit for the materials and we invoice on a weekly basis.  For smaller projects, we invoice after the work is completed and you have your finished piece. Methods of payment (due upon receipt of invoice) are e-transfer or cheque.

A Note on Pricing: 

Marvin's rate for renovations and home improvements is very competitive and he has more than just carpentry skills which often means he can do the entire job or subcontract other trades for you. 

Commissioned custom furniture is a specialty that will provide you with a long-lasting piece tailored to your specific wishes.  If you are looking for something that you've seen online that is being mass produced, we likely will not be able to compete with their pricing but are pretty confident we would compete with the quality and customization.  

The work happens either on-site or it is built in the workshop and delivered to or installed in your home or business.  Our goal is that you love your finished result and are thrilled you contacted us!
